Derby have turned their attentions to Europe after insisting they will not be increasing their bid for Swansea midfielder Ferrie Bodde.

The Swans will not budge from their valuation of the 26-year-old Dutchman while the Rams are refusing to up their offer of £1.5million rising to £2million with add-ons.

Chairman of football Adam Pearson told the Derby Telegraph: "He [Ferrie Bodde] is our first choice but we are not prepared to pay over the odds.

"We've got a couple of other targets we are looking at. They are two extremely experienced European players and we will turn our attention to them."
