Sneijder - scored Holland's second goal.
Holland boosted their morale ahead of Euro 2008 as they cruised to a 2-0 friendly victory over Wales at the De Kuip stadium.
But John Toshack's young Welsh brigade can be happy with their plucky performance against top quality opposition.
The Dutch were ahead after 34 minutes when Arjen Robben broke away to beat Wayne Hennessey.
Wales battled away and did not allow themselves to be overawed or overrun but the home side killed the game off just after the break when Wesley Sneijder curled home a splendid free-kick.
After the game Holland boss Marco van Basten, whose side face Italy in Berne on Monday week in their first group game in Euro 2008, said: "We have done well in three warm-up games, I am satisfied with our progress.
"The preparation has been good, we could have scored more goals against Wales but overall I am very pleased with the way our preparation is going for the finals."
Meanwhile Wales' Craig Bellamy, who came on as a second-half substitute, said the defeat will provide vital experience in preparation for the 2010 World Cup qualifying campaign.
Wales will start off against Azerbaijan in September and the striker is optimistic the inexperienced Dragons will be able to book a place in South Africa in two years' time.
"I'm a massive fan of Dutch football and the way they keep the ball," Bellamy told Sky Sports News.
"They are patient and play the way football should be played. A lot of the young players will have learnt a lot.
"This is a big step and a big target to aim for, but this is what some of our young players have really got to try and become.
"We have got one or two good players coming through and this is a massive learning curve for players.
"It is still a learning curve for me, so it was a good afternoon and in the next couple of years this could be a really important afternoon for us."
