HOLLAND v WALES MIN-BY-MIN

FT: Holland 2 Wales 0

90+3 mins: The final whistle sounds and Holland have defeated a young Wales side 2-0 at the De Kuip stadium but they shouldn't be too optimistic over their Euro 2008 hopes. They dominated from start to finish, creating so many chances but only ended up with two goals - Arjen Robben's first-half effort and Wesley Sneijder's excellent free kick.

90+2 mins: Van Nistelrooy has what should be the last attempt of the match as he fires wide from around 20 yards.

90+1 mins: Holland smell more blood as they push forward late on but Vennegoor of Hesselink's point-blank shot is brilliantly saved by Hennessey.

90 mins: Wales embark on one of their best attacking moves of the match but in the end Melchiot is able to clear a dangerous cross.

90 mins: Afellay finds space to shoot outside the area but his powerful effort just goes wide.

89 mins: Ledley is now brought off to be replaced by Neal Eardley.

88 mins: The ball is chipped forward for van Nistelrooy, who brings it down on the edge of the area before poorly striking wide with a weak attempt.

87 mins: Holland put that minor blip behind them and press forward again looking for another goal but a long ball into the box is headed clear.

86 mins: Wales create a great opportunity for Bellamy, who collects Ledley's pass inside the area, but he blasts it straight at van der Sar.

85 mins: Snijder weaves his way through the Welsh defence before seeing a curling effort deflected over for a corner.

84 mins: Kuyt floats in a cross from the right but it's too high for the lanky Vennegoor of Hesselink.

83 mins: Holland so far have enjoyed 22 attempts on goal with 10 on target. So on the one hand they've been extremely dominant, but on the other they really need to improve their shooting.

82 mins: A minute has gone by without a substitution. Incredible.

81 mins: Bellamy tries to turn and shoot inside the box but his effort is blocked.

80 mins: At the moment the only incidents happening are substitutions and the crowd here inside the stadium are very bored indeed.

79 mins: Yes, you've guessed it, another change, this time for Holland. Mathijsen comes off for Celtic striker Jan Vennegoor of Hesselink.

78 mins: This is, and has always been, the main problem with international friendly games. Too many substitutions slow the game down and pretty much ruin the final 30 minutes or so, when most of them are made.

77 mins: Another change for Wales and Andrew Crofts replaces Sam Ricketts.

76 mins: Bellamy has a little dribble in midfield but Wales attack too slowly and Holland get back in numbers to prevent anything materialising.

75 mins: De Jong goes for goal with an audacious curling effort from long range but Hennessey watches sail harmlessly over the bar.

74 mins: There aren't too many positives for Wales to take away from this game. It may only be 2-0 but that's mainly down to Holland's wastefulness and Wales have given them far much space in attacking positions.

73 mins: Wales make another change and Koumas leaves the field to be replaced by Sam Vokes of Wolves.

72 mins: Robben combines with van Nistelrooy, who then tries to cross from the right side of the box, but Nyatanga thwarts the striker.

71 mins: The resulting corner is bent in by Robben for Kuyt, who steers his deft header just over the bar.

70 mins: Sneijder aims his delivery at the far post and Gunter heroically heads behind before clattering into the frame of the goal.

69 mins: Afellay is brought to ground by Collison on the left wing and Holland have a dangerous free kick.

68 mins: John Toshack's substitutions haven't made a great deal of impact on this game and you have to wonder if they're content just to keep the score down.

67 mins: Sneijder goes for goal from distance but Ashley Willaims makes a brave block on the edge of the area.

66 mins: The Dutch make another change with van der Vaart making way for Ibrahim Afellay.

65 mins: Robben has been such a greedy player this afternoon and he can't be this unselfish in Euro 2008 - especially if he misses as many as he has today. It could cost his country big time.

64 mins: Here come Holland again and a delightful backheel from van Nistelrooy finds Robben inside the box but he hammers the resulting shot into the side netting.

63 mins: Sneijder combines well with van der Vaart, who sees his powerful drive blocked on the edge of the box.

62 mins: Melchiot chases a long ball down the right wing but Gunter does well to hold him off.

61 mins: Kuyt pounces on a mistake at the back but his weak shot dribbles into Hennessey's arms.

60 mins: The Dutch should be much further ahead than 2-0 and they can't afford to be so careless at Euro 2008.

59 mins: Holland get themselves in another good position but not for the first time this afternoon Robben rushes and wastes a potential opportunity.

58 mins: It's great to see Bellamy in action after a season ruined by injuries at West Ham.

57 mins: Wales make a double substitiution with Craig Bellamy and Ched Evans coming on for Freddy Eastwood and Edwards respectively.

56 mins: Kuyt's clearance actually sparks another Dutch attack with the Liverpool forward later crossing from the left to Robben, who slashes a shot wide.

55 mins: Wales push forward and win two corners before Kuyt finally heads clear to safety.

54 mins: GOAL SNIJDER - The Real Madrid man steps up, curls and ball over the wall and into the top corner of the net, with Hennessey only managing to get a fingertip to it. Absolutely brilliant.

53 mins: Holland have a free kick around 35 yards from goal and once again it's Snijder standing over it.

52 mins: The ball comes into the box but this times Wales are able to head away from a player in blue.

51 mins: Holland keep pressing and this time Kuyt unleashes a terrific volley from a Robben pass but it's deflected over the bar for a corner.

50 mins: Like the first half it's one-way traffic at the moment and we could be in for a cricket score if this continues. Melchiot works it well down the right before cutting it back for Kuyt who sees his shot saved.

49 mins: Kuyt chips a delicate cross into the area but it just evades his teammates.

48 mins: Robben is presented with another glorious opportunity as he collects the ball inside the box before going round Hennessey - but he then blasts wide and over.

47 mins: De Jong slips a lovely pass through for van Nistelrooy who drills a low shot wide from the edge of the box.

47 mins: There's been several changes made at the break with Tim De Cler, Nigel De Jong, Dirk Kuyt and Mario Melchiot coming on for Holland while Wales have replaced Carl Robinson with Jack Collison.

46 mins: Holland get the game back under way hoping to score plenty more goals this afternoon.

HT: Holland 1 Wales 0

45+1 mins: The half-time whistle sounds and Holland go into the break leading Wales 1-0 but it really should be a bigger scoreline.

45 mins: Wales mount an attack down the right and a deep cross from Dave Edwards finds Gunter who heads past van der Sar but only into the side netting.

44 mins: Robben feels he was fouled by Ricketts but the referee turns his appeals down.

43 mins: Freddy Eastwood does well to unleash Wales' first effort inside the box after a little run but van der Sar makes a comfortable save down to his right.

42 mins: Van der Vaart tries his luck from around 30 yards but Hennessey is relieved to watch the ball go over the bar.

41 mins: It seems as if Holland play in short, sharp bursts. They seem content to just keep possession for eternity then all of a sudden will launch a tirade of shots from all angles, before going quite again.

40 mins: The half-time whistle can't come soon enough for Wales, who will be happy to take this 1-0 scoreline at this stage.

39 mins: This is the kind of display the crowd came to see and you have to wonder if Wales can keep the score down.

38 mins: The resulting corner comes out to Sneijder who lashes a ferocious drive just wide and over. This is simply awesome to watch now as Holland turn on the style.

37 mins: All of a sudden the Dutch are on fire. The ball now comes out to Orlando Engelaar just outside the box and his sizzling effort also has to be tipped wide by the Wales stopper. Another superb save.

36 mins: Rafael Van der Vaart looks to double Holland's lead with a powerful drive from just outside the box and Hennessey has to tip it wide.

35 mins: GOAL ROBBEN - A poor back header from Robinson in midfield finds its way to Robben and the Real Madrid man races forward with too much pace for Gunter before slotting his shot past Hennessey into the goal.

33 mins: Chris Gunter is shown a yellow card after pulling back on Robben's shirt in midfield. Pretty pointless thing for him to do really.

32 mins: Moments later Robben latches on to a fantastic pass down the right side of the area and cuts it back for van Nistelrooy, who sees his first-time shot is blocked by Craig Morgan.

31 mins: The Real Madrid hitman does get a shot away this time, but it's too far out and straight at Hennessey, who makes an easy save.

30 mins: De Zeeuw chips a pass into the area but van Nistelrooy is unable to turn and shoot.

29 mins: It's all very neat and tidy in midfield from Holland but the final ball is just deserting them.

28 mins: The Wigan man's delivery is too firmly struck and the ball goes behind for a goal kick.

27 mins: Wales now have a free kick on the right and Jason Koumas will look to bend this one into the box and hope someone gets on the end of it.

26 mins: Marco van Basten's side have totally bossed the possession but have just lacked the killer touch in front of goal. They've had enough of the ball to score at least one by now.

25 mins: Statistically Holland have had six attempts to score so far while Wales haven't had any. That said only one of these shots has realistically tested Hennessey.

24 mins: The crowd have gone rather quiet now and you could say it's all Wales' fault! Good for them.

23 mins: Moments later Sneijder tries his luck again from distance and it takes a wicked deflection before gently rolling into Hennessey's arms.

22 mins: Holland win another corner which is only partially headed clear - but only as far as Sneijder. The Real Madrid man drills one at goal but it skids well wide.

21 mins: The ball into the box is cleared away by Wales, who are now beginning to frustrate the Dutch.

20 mins: No it's not. He goes for goal again but this time it's deflected over by the wall for a corner.

19 mins: The hosts have another free kick but this time it's surely too far out for Sneijder to shoot.

18 mins: Holland are looking extremely sharp and creative and credit must go to Wales for holding firm thus far.

17 mins: The resulting corner comes to nothing and Wales can breath again.

16 mins: Sneijder curls a cracking free kick over the wall and it looks certain to find the corner of the net before Hennessey pulls off a stunning one-handed save to push the ball round the post.

15 mins: Holland break on the counter with Robben who is eventually brought to ground just outside the box after a mazy run by Ricketts.

14 mins: The visitors push forward on a rare attack but can't unlock the Dutch defence.

13 mins: Wales have eased the pressure after winning a couple of free kicks in their own half.

12 mins: John Toshack's side are penned back in their own half and surely it's just a matter of time before the hosts break the deadlock.

11 mins: Holland remain on the front foot and win another corner down the left. When the ball is swung into the box, Joris Mathijsen heads well over the bar. Good overall pressure though and Wales are struggling to cope.

10 mins: Wesley Sneijder floats the ball into the box and finds an unmarked John Heitinga, whose header is pushed behind by Hennessey. The offside flag was raised anyway so it wouldn't have counted.

9 mins: The Dutch win a free kick around 30 yards from goal and they pack the box with bodies. This could be promising.

8 mins: Holland are looking increasingly dangerous on the attack and now Ruud van Nistelrooy feeds Arjen Rooben with a delicate pass to chase inside the box but Carl Robinson forces him to shoot wide.

7 mins: The ball is curled into the box but Wayne Hennessey jumps high to make the all-important catch.

7 mins: Holland win a corner after Lewin Nyatanga puts behind a cross from Andre Ooijer on the right.

6 mins: Wales win a free kick in a promising position outside the area but the delivery is poor and Edwin van der Sar makes a comfortable claim.

5 mins: Joe Ledley finds Sam Ricketts down the right wing and the Hull man does well to whip in a cross which is just about cleared away.

4 mins: Holland have started brightly with Demy De Zeeuw blasting a low long range effort wide of the mark.

3 mins: The Dutch are looking to build confidence ahead of the summer showpiece in Austria and Switzerland while Wales are focused further ahead on next season's World Cup qualifiers.

2 mins: Surprisingly both sides are playing in their second strips - Holland in light blue and Wales in yellow. The Dutch crowd have got it right though, creating a sea of orange here at the De Kuip stadium and as they're creating a cracking atmosphere.

1 mins: The national anthems have been played out and we're now under way with Wales kicking the game off against the Euro 2008 hopefuls.

Pre-match: Wigan's Jason Koumas captains Wales for the first time in a sold-out De Kuip stadium.

The Wrexham-born midfielder leads a youthful Welsh side against a Dutch outfit playing their last warm-up game before Euro 2008.

Wales have Hull play-off hero Sam Ricketts back in the side along with Toronto FC's Carl Robinson, who flew in from Canada on Friday.

Holland are without Liverpool's unlucky winger Ryan Babel, who was ruled out of Euro 2008 yesterday after tearing ankle ligaments.

Manager Marco van Basten fields what many expect to be the side which will face Italy in their group opener in Berne on Monday week.
