Davies - wants to put things right.
Wales have vowed to put things right ahead of their forthcoming World Cup campaign.
The 2-1 defeat by Georgia at Swansea last night left many problems to solve for manager John Toshack.
But skipper Simon Davies summed up the mood in the dressing room, saying: "It was a disappointing result, especially after the first-half when I thought we were very positive.
"We created quite a few chances but in the second half we just never really got started.
"Full credit to Georgia, they really came after us and forced us into two sloppy mistakes, We cannot afford to give away goals like that if you want to have a chance at this level.
"It is a timely reminder that every international game is difficult. As long as everyone learns from this experience it will not have been a waste of time.
"Hopefully now when we face Azerbaijan we will know to keep our concentration high throughout the game and not turn off at vital moment."
Midfield colleague Carl Fletcher added: "It was something of a wake-up call before the first World Cup game against Azerbaijan next month.
"But friendlies are friendlies for a reason and the main business is about World Cup qualifiers. We want to get the best start we can in the group because if we manage that then anything is possible.
"There were some positives for us but there is plenty to work on. I enjoyed the game and I needed it.
"As for me, things are not going too well at Palace so it was nice to get 90 minutes under my belt.
"I have not played much in the first three games of the season and now I am on the transfer list, I need to get away soon. Sometimes these things happen in football and it does not work out as you would like so I am hoping for a new challenge to come along.
"A move has got to be right for me and my family but it comes down to me wanting to be able to play football on a regular basis. That is not going to happen at Palace so I need to get away as soon as possible."
Full-back Sam Ricketts added: "We need to improve when the World Cup qualifiers come around and I am sure that will be the case."
Cardiff forward Paul Parry, back in the side after a 17-month absence, said: "That was the last friendly before the qualifiers start so we have to get over this quickly and pick ourselves up, because we will need to start with a bang.
"With the group we are in, qualification will be tough, but we need to try and get off to a flier and see how it goes from then on."
