Wright-Phillips - has returned to Manchester City.
Shaun Wright-Phillips is determined to make the most of his return to Manchester City.
The England winger was unveiled by City on Friday afternoon after signing a four-year contract for an undisclosed fee.
Wright-Phillips left City for Chelsea in a £21million deal three years ago but was frustrated by a lack of regular starts.
"I want to get back to playing football with City and doing the best I can," the 26-year-old said.
"I'm glad to be given the opportunity to help the club move forward."
Wright-Phillips made just 43 starts for the Stamford Bridge club but repeatedly denied he was unhappy and vowed to fight for his place.
He insists the decision to join Chelsea was a good one but now he is looking forward to re-establishing himself with City.
He added: "I can't say I ever felt I was truly not wanted but when I was at the club [Chelsea]. It is a fantastic club, fantastic fans.
"I can say I gave 110 per cent for them like I always would but I am glad now to leave what was a great experience and try and get to work at home."
Manager Mark Hughes believes Wright-Phillips is a better player for his time at Chelsea and feels he will now go on to greater success with City.
Wright-Phillips joined City after being released by Nottingham Forest at the age of 15 and emerged as one of the country's most exciting talents during his seven years there.
Hughes said: "From my point of view I am absolutely delighted. He is key to what we are trying to do. We need to attract top-quality players and that is certainly what Shaun is.
"We have got great plans. It is a huge project we are trying to get off the floor here and the need for quality players was obvious. This is the start of a great journey we hope.
"I believe it is possible to go back and be successful and I have no doubt Shaun will be successful here. He is coming back a better player. He is older, wiser and more experienced."
