Elmander - starred for Bolton.

Johan Elmander gave Bolton fans a glimpse of what they have to look forward to this season as he bagged two goals on his debut to give Gary Megson's side a comprehensive victory over Doncaster.

Elmander, a £10million signing from Toulouse this summer, scored either side of half-time at the Keepmoat Stadium to give the Trotters their first pre-season win.

The striker's second effort, a volley from the edge of the Doncaster box, was the pick of Bolton's goals.

The Swede squeezed his second past Neil Sullivan in the Doncaster goal with 15 minutes to go.

Kevin Davies had nodded home to give Bolton the lead after five minutes and summer signing Fabrice Muamba put Bolton 3-0 up with a long-range effort after Elmander had opened his account.

Joey O'Brien then curled a shot past Sullivan to put Bolton 4-0 ahead before Elmander added his second to complete the rout.
