Seven England-based players have been named in Pim Verbeek's Australia squad for their forthcoming World Cup qualifier against Qatar.

Mark Schwarzer (Fulham), Lucas Neill (West Ham), Tim Cahill (Everton), David Carney (Sheffield United), Brett Emerton (Blackburn), Richard Garcia (Hull) and Mile Sterjovski (Derby) all make the 28 man squad, as does Celtic's Scott McDonald.

But Blackburn midfielder Vince Grella is out with a calf injury, joining fellow first-choices Mark Bresciano and former Liverpool winger Harry Kewell.
