BERBA SALE DEPENDS ON ARSHAVIN

Tottenham have reportedly told Dimitar Berbatov that he will only be sold if they can buy Andrei Arshavin as well as Roman Pavlyuchenko.

Pavlyuchenko is on his way to London in a £12m deal from Spartak Moscow but his arrival alone is not considered enough to spark Berbatov's move to Manchester United as Spurs would still only have two strikers.

Tottenham have re-opened talks with Zenit St Petersburg over Arshavin this week, with the fee likely to drop under £20m after the Russian club bought Danny for £25m to be his replacement.

Only when Arshavin is a Spurs player will they sanction Berbatov's move to Old Trafford, meaning the Bulgarian may be called upon to play his final game in a Tottenham shirt on Sunday ahead of the misfiring Darren Bent against Chelsea as Pavlyuchenko is unlikely to be ready to play.
