Simpson - searching for investment.
Watford chairman Graham Simpson has admitted time is running out for him to find a new buyer for the Championship club.
Simpson is searching for new investment at Vicarage Road but admits the time will soon come when he will have to start planning for next season without additional funds being available.
He told the Watford Observer: "We still have interest in the club, there are still discussions and presentations going on, but I cannot honestly tell you whether we will have an offer.
"There comes a time when you say if we're not going to get any interest then we will move forward and deal with the way we want to deal with the club because at this moment in time we have no offer coming through to us, so I have to think what are we going to do."
Simpson also warned the club may be forced to sell key players again in January.
"If I feel it is necessary - and I don't know which player, and I don't know how much - but if I feel it is the right thing to do to make the club sustainable I will consider selling definitely," he added.
