BLUES GO DUTCH FOR AGUSTIEN

Agustien - joins Blues.

Birmingham have signed Dutch midfielder Kemy Agustien from AZ Alkmaar on a one-season loan.

The 21-year-old, who can play anywhere across midfield, has cost Blues an initial £590,000, with an option to buy the player for £1.57million.

Agustien's arrival will boost Alex McLeish's midfield options following the summer departures of Fabrice Muamba, Olivier Kapo and Daniel de Ridder, although the new recruit is currently recovering from a hernia operation.

Agustien, a Holland Under-21 international, began his career at club Willem II before making the switch to AZ in 2006, making 25 appearances for the Dutch top-flight side last season.
