SWANS SNUB SECOND BODDE BID

Bodde - wanted by Derby.

Swansea City have confirmed that they have rejected an improved offer of £750,000 from Derby County for midfielder Ferrie Bodde.

The Swans turned down an initial bid of £500,000 but the Dutch midfielder handed in a transfer request, which manager Roberto Martinez rejected.

The Rams interest has not cooled though and on Thursday, Derby chairman Adam Pearson revealed they would be making a new offer.

However that has now also been rejected and the former Ado Den Haag man's future remains unclear.

"Derby's improved bid still comes nowhere near our valuation," Swans chairman Huw Jenkins revealed.

Martinez has stated that he values the player at £2million.
