JONES REJECTS WOLVES

Jones - turns down Wolves.

Wolves have suffered a setback in the transfer market after Derby's David Jones turned down the chance to join the Midlands side.

The 23-year-old midfielder, who has found first-team opportunities hard to come by at Pride Park, failed to agree terms at Molineux, despite both clubs agreeing a fee.

"We agreed a deal with Wolves for David Jones but he's rejected it," Derby County manager Paul Jewell told the Evening Telegraph.

"As far as I'm aware, I don't think they could agree terms."

Jones played a key role in the Rams' promotion winning side of 2006-2007 after arriving from Manchester United for £1million in January 2007.
