Stoke have taken former Reading winger John Oster on trial.

The Welshman has linked up with the Premier League new-boys after turning down the chance to join Derby following a trial at Pride Park.

Oster played in Wednesday's friendly win over Worcester City and Pulis will cast an eye over the former Everton man before deciding whether or not to offer him a deal.
