Barazite - two appearances for Arsenal.

Derby have signed Nacer Barazite from Arsenal on an initial month-long loan with a view to extending the Dutchman's stay at Pride Park.

The 18-year-old, who has made two senior appearances for the Gunners, can operate as either an attacking midfielder or a striker.

"Nacer is young but has played in their first-team and he will come here to join up with our squad," County manager Paul Jewell told the club's official website.

"I am quite keen to get a link up with some of the top teams and I spoke to (Arsenal manager) Arsene Wenger over the summer about a few players.

"Nacer is going to be a good player and if he does well here then hopefully we can keep him for longer than a month.

"He is an exciting prospect, a very good footballer, and he will be a good addition to our squad."

Jewell also confirmed Derby currently have Lens midfielder Julien Sable on trial at the club.
