MIXU KEEN ON RIORDAN

Riordan - could return to Hibs.

Mixu Paatelainen has confirmed his interest in taking Derek Riordan back to Hibernian.

The striker has failed to establish himself at Celtic since his Easter Road exit back in June 2006.

"I like 'Deek'," said the Hibernian manager.

"He's a fantastic footballer and he's a goalscorer who did very well for Hibs when he was here.

"He's a Hibs fan and everybody knows that but at this moment in time he is a Celtic player so I can't go too much into it.

"But he is a goalscorer and every manager likes goalscorers. We're hoping to strengthen the striking department and whoever comes in, we hope it's the right one.

"There are funds to bring in players and we'll have to wait and see whether it's Riordan or somebody else."
