Pearson vows to field strong side

The Foxes moved to the top of League One with 4-0 demolition of Cheltenham on Saturday and Pearson is expected to name much the same starting XI for the clash with United.

He told the club's official website: "There are rules and regulations surrounding the competition - but regardless of what they are I can assure the fans that we will be putting out a strong side that will be going out to gain us a place in the next round."

Pearson will be without Joe Mattock who is sidelined with ankle ligament damage while Patrick Kisnorbo is still recovering from the knee ligament damage he suffered at the end of last season. Stephen Clemence (ankle) is also out.
