McParland: One man short at the back

The 19-year-old, who is on loan at Meadow Lane until January, has picked up a thigh problem and has been sent back to parent club Derby to receive treatment.

Manager Ian McParland told the Nottingham Evening Post: "Jason picked up an injury a few weeks ago and he should have had a rest.

"He said he was fine. He is a young lad and he is one of those players that does not want to miss a game.

"Hopefully he can get back as quick as possible and be up for selection again, because he has been doing marvellously well for us."

Adam Tann is expected to deputise for Beardsley at right-back after he came on for the injured youngster against Port Vale.

Fellow defender Stephen Hunt remains on the sidelines with a groin problem, although midfielder Adam Nowland could be included on the bench following several weeks out with a hamstring injury.
