Swindon hit sorry Vale for six

Peacock: On target

Martin, 17, was handed his chance with regular stopper Joe Anyon out for the rest of the season, but he was unable to prevent his side from being put to the sword.

Striker Lee Peacock opened the scoring in the 16th minute when he lashed the ball home from 15 yards and Craig Easton doubled his side's advantage four minutes later with his sixth goal of the season as he finished from 10 yards.

Right-back Jack Smith got into the act in the 33rd minute when he finished off a flowing move by scoring from 15 yards.

Man of the match Antony McNamee got in the act in first-half injury time when he smashed the ball home right-footed after a fine solo run before Michael Timlin added a fifth before the break when he lashed home from 12 yards out.

Substitute Ben Joyce grabbed a late sixth for Swindon in second-half injury time to complete the rout.
